Your mother told you so….| Newsletter December 2018

Hello, my Dear Subscribers!

The Holiday season already started, and I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!

I am so excited and feel very inspired to be around like-minded people. Thank you so much for your support and desire to walk on the path of living a remarkable life, looking young, sexy, eating cleaner, feeling  better and having lots of energy! That is an impressive goal!
That is how the progress starts! Step by step, small changes every day! It is hard to get out of your comfort zone; however, any time you do it, you will see the benefits and will be proud of yourself. 2019 is your year!

The New Year is coming…Are you up for something new in your life?
Maybe a New You?

This month I would like to talk to you about the most important meal in our life, or at least we were told that it is the most important meal in our life. Namely, we will talk about BREAKFAST!

Imagine something like this: the report is due in two hours, or perhaps you’re in the middle of a mid-term exam, or you’re making sales calls, or you are running around trying to finish all that holiday shopping for your family and friends.
Then, suddenly, bam! Around 10:30 a.m. you hit a wall. All you want to do is to look out the window.
I told you so…

Hmmm…let me ask you, what did you eat for breakfast?

I hate to say, “I told you so,” so I’ll turn to your mom who ‘told you so’ countless times: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s the meal that’s designed to supply a third of the macro and micro nutrients your body needs to run without a hitch (maybe she didn’t add this but you got the point).

So what are you eating each morning to accomplish what’s on your to-do list ? A cup of coffee gulped down on the go? Or maybe a cup of sugary yogurt and a muffin eaten at your desk? Or nothing at all?

Your body deserves so much better than that.  And so do you!

When you eat a good breakfast, your day goes smoothly. No growling stomachs, no low blood sugar shakiness, or wandering attention to keep you from nailing those big goals you’ve made for yourself.

Let’s see together what Breakfast is Right for You?

One of the best—and most fun—ways to find out which food serves YOU the best, is something called the Breakfast Experiment.

For one week, eat a different breakfast each day. Record in a notebook what you ate, how you felt immediately after the meal, and how you felt again two hours later. Set the timer, so you don’t forget to write it down.

Here are some options for you to play with:

1. Day one: Omelet or tofu if you are vegetarian
2. Day two: Bean salad
3. Day three: Oatmeal
4. Day four: Toast with avocado and salmon
5. Day five: Muffin and coffee
6. Day six: Fresh fruit and yogurt
7. Day seven: Green smoothie

Feel free to repeat the experiment for another seven days with different food each morning.

Which breakfasts made you feel energized? Which one didn’t?

After the experiment, try adding in more of the food that made you feel great!
