2 minutes before the dish is completely ready add walnuts, salt, a pinch of black pepper, and rosemary leaves.
Turn off the heat.
You can serve this dish in two ways:
1. As a side dish with some fish or meat;
2. Toast a slice of bread, cut it in half to create two small pieces of toast (to make it look elegant and not gigantic) and put the beets on top of the toast. Decorate it with a couple of fresh rosemary leaves and a pinch of the fresh walnuts or pine nuts.
