Turkey and Buffalo Meat Burgers

Ingredients

For ground meat:

  • 1.3 pounds mixture of turkey and buffalo meat or already ground turkey and buffalo meat
  • 1 big onion chopped
  • 10 pieces of dry apricots /or figs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt to taste

For sauce:

  • 1/3 cup of organic tomato ketchup
  • ¼ cup of Coconut Aminos Teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard

Suggested accompaniments:

  • 12 slices of mild cheddar organic cheese or any cheese you like
  • 12 slices of tomato
  • 12 slices of organic pickles kosher sandwich slices
  • 12 green leaves of lettuce
  • 12 toasted buns

Instructions

  1. If you prefer to grind turkey and buffalo meat, please:

    Put the ingredients for the ground meat (except salt) into the meat grinder and grind them.

    Add salt to the mixture and mix well. Form grind meat into 12 patties

    Put a large skillet on the stove over medium heat.

    Add extra virgin olive oil and put the patties on the skillet.

    Cook them until medium ready or well done and the sides are slightly brown.

  2. Take half of a bun or a toasted piece of bread, spread the sauce over the bun and put a meat cake on top.

    Put pickle slices on the meat cake and a slice of tomato on top of the pickle.

    Put a lettuce leave on tomato and spread a small amount of sauce over the lettuce.

    Cover the top of the lettuce with a slice of cheese.

  3. If you desire, you can put another half of abun on top of the slice of cheese, or just choose to leave it open.

    Put your hamburgers into the microwave for 1.5 min or into the oven at 350 F until the cheese is slightly melted.
