Cooking is Simple! Learning the Art of Simple Cooking

The common thoughts that people have about cooking from scratch are the following:  cooking from scratch takes too much time, I am not a skilled cook or I am busy and so on.

You would think that it is really true. However, let me give you an example. If we compare whole grain brown rice which is full of fiber and minerals and a package of rice that was heavily processed, striped out of vitamins and does not have any nutritional value.

Which one would you prefer? Of course, the first one. The only problem is that it will take about 30-35 min to cook whole grain brown rice.

However, it takes just 1-2 min put this rice into the saucepan, add water and cook it on the stove for 30 min. You do not have to hang around the kitchen and wait for 30 min. Just set the timer, take your time and do whatever you would like to do, while your food is being cooked.

Another example is vegetables.

Vegetables that most people are lacking in their diet, are extremely beneficial for you, they contain so many diseases fighting properties, vitamins, minerals and they are especially easy to prepare. It takes a couple of minutes to rinse them and cut, or you can buy a pack of fresh baby carrots, cut broccoli florets, or some other ready to go vegetables and put them into a baking pan, drizzle with olive oil, salt and spices and it is ready to go into the oven. You can also steam them in place of baking. Set the timer and tike your time for 30-35 min.

What can be easier than making a fresh green salad?  Just 10 min and your nutritiously rich salad is ready.

Learning the art of cooking or in the beginning the art of simple cooking will help you to get more nutrients to nourish your precious body. You will notice that the prepacked food from the frozen food section does not taste good anymore or your dependency on restaurant food will be gone. As you will be more aware over the quality of food you eat when you cook it by yourself.

Isn’t it awesome to cook for yourself, your better half, your children or your friends? It strengthens family bonds.

While cooking, create a spiritual atmosphere where you feel relaxed, breath in your love into the food that you are cooking. If you are a woman and cooking for your better half, bring your woman’s energy, energy of love, relaxation, balance and comfort into the food that you are making.  Why not turn on nice music, light a candle, pour a glass of wine and enjoy the art of cooking. I can guarantee your man or a partner will appreciate it.
